DESCRIPTION:This event is open to all members of the History Faculty (incl
 uding PS staff)\, as well as local historians who may be interested in an 
 introductory/brush-up session about oral history methods and applying for 
 research ethics clearance from the University. The session will be run by 
 three researchers who are highly experienced in using oral history practic
 e for their own projects: Dr Aleena Din\, Dr Sally Frampton and Sadiya Ahm
 ed.\n\n*Aleena Din* and *Sadiya Ahmed* are both joint leads on the Hub’s
  ‘A Muslim History of Oxford’ project\, and have been working with a g
 roup of research assistants to record a number of oral history interviews 
 with members of the local Muslim community\, to grow a community-based arc
 hive of British Muslim histories.\n\n*Sally Frampton* is a historian of me
 dicine and health\, who has recently been working with local mental health
  charities such as Restore and Oxfordshire Recovery College\, to train cha
 rity workers to document and share the history of local mental health care
  treatment through co-produced oral history research and a short documenta
 ry film.\n\nThey will all be sharing their knowledge and experience of goo
 d practice through a talk\, which will be followed by a Q&A and a chance t
 o discuss ideas/experiences shared by participants themselves.\nSpeakers:\
