DESCRIPTION:In our April event\, Professor Sara Bronin (Texas & Magdalen 2
 001) in conversation with Jennifer Bradley (Texas & Balliol 1992) will dis
 cuss her book Key to the City.\n\nSara is a Mexican-American architect\, a
 ttorney\, Cornell University professor\, and policymaker whose interdiscip
 linary work focuses on how law and policy can foster more equitable\, sust
 ainable\, well-designed\, and connected places. She wrote Key to the City:
  How Zoning Shapes Our World\, and she founded and leads the National Zoni
 ng Atlas\, which is digitizing\, demystifying\, and democratizing informat
 ion about zoning in the United States. She also served in a Presidentially
 -appointed\, Senate-confirmed role chairing the federal historic preservat
 ion agency.\n\nJennifer Bradley is a senior fellow at The Kresge Foundatio
 n. Jennifer supports the American Cities Program at Kresge through conveni
 ngs and thought leadership. She joined the foundation in 2021. Previously\
 , Jennifer served as the director of the Center for Urban Innovation at th
 e Aspen Institute\, where she focused on inclusive innovation and equitabl
 e economic development strategies in cities. Jennifer has also held positi
 ons with the Brookings Institution\, where she co-authored The Metropolita
 n Revolution and developed state-level strategies to support metropolitan 
 economic growth\, and with the Constitutional Accountability Center\, wher
 e she co-authored amicus briefs in major appellate cases that supported en
 vironmental protections and community development.\n\nA native of Austin\,
  Texas\, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texa
 s\, a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a JD from Geo
 rgetown University Law Center. She serves on the boards of the Edlavitch D
 .C. Jewish Community Center and the Open Contracting Partnership.\nSpeaker
