Intersection between innate immunity, lysosome damage and Parkinson’s disease
Dr Ferguson’s research focuses on fundamental cell biological mechanisms that match lysosome function to ongoing changes in demand. Furthermore, motivated by the genetics and pathology of neurodegenerative diseases, he seeks to elucidate contributions of lysosome dysfunction to the development and progression of such diseases.
