Linacre Lectures 2024: Uncovering Women's History

The Linacre Lectures are a high-profile public lecture series rooted in an ethos of interdisciplinary research. Linacre has hosted this event since 1991 where leading academics from around the world have been invited to share research with our College community and the wider University.

The 2024 ‘Uncovering Women’s History’ lecture series aims to explore women’s empowerment and the contribution of women and other marginalised minorities across history. The lecture series will consist of four talks, beginning on 2 May. Each lecture has its own distinct focus covering themes from women in the German peasants’ war through medieval economic history and women’s position in current academia to modern black womanhood, coming together to form a robust examination of women’s history from the Middle Ages to our current times.
